MAISKOGEL
fun for all the family IN KAPRUN
The Maiskogel mountain is a firm favourite with families. Spring, summer, autumn and winter it offers plenty for both adults and children to see, do and explore. The peak can be accessed quickly and easily using the MK Maiskogelbahn cable car taking passengers from the centre of Kaprun up into the fascinating world of the Austrian Alps.
action & adventure
Up at the top, the first stop for many families in the summer months is the outdoor adventure play area made from natural materials. Then it's time to explore the many walking and biking trails on the mountain.
fine views & cuisine
Feeling hungry? No problem! Stop off at one of the many huts on the Maiskogel mountain for a hearty meal combined with wonderful views on the sunny terrace.
Maisi Flitzer
Afternoons are made for action, so we recommend a go on the Alpine Coaster Maisi Flitzer. This single-seater rollercoaster, the first of its kind in Salzburger Land, invites visitors to whizz down the mountain at speeds of up to 40 km/h. The Maisi Flitzer is open in both summer and winter.
perfect for children
Still got energy left to burn? At the bottom of the lifts you will find an adventure area with bouncy castles, plenty of slides, a hanging footbridge and lots more great attractions for kids.
WINTER on maiskogel mountain
In winter the Maiskogel mountain in Kaprun is home to a top ski resort perfect for families and cruisers. In the resort you will find mostly easy and intermdiate ski pistes plus, of course, plenty of huts serving food and drink. Local ski schools and equipment hire shops offer professional service and advice, while a large ski depot at the bottom of the lifts means there's no need to carry your equipment back to your accommodation each day.
Last but not least there is the Maisi Park. This mini fun park invites youngsters to try their first jumps in a safe environment. Beginners and skiers back on the slopes for the first time in years will be pleased to know that there is a large practice area with gentle slopes at the Maisi Lift.
